FILING A COMPLAINT
If you have a complaint about merchandise or services, the first step you should take is to contact the manager of the business involved. In most cases, the manager will be glad to help you resolve your problem. If you are unable to obtain redress from the business, you should file a complaint with the Pinellas County Department of Consumer Protection 14250 49th ST. N. 2nd Floor, Clearwater, FL 33762, telephone: (727) 464-6200.
If your complaint involves a type of business that is regulated by a state or federal agency (banking, insurance, etc.) and the Department is unable to help you obtain redress, your complaint will be referred to the appropriate agency.
You may wish to file a complaint
with the Better Business Bureau where the business involved is located, especially if the
business is a member of the Bureau.
